A4 Holding, a company of the Abertis Group managing 236 km of motorway network across the A4 Brescia–Padua and the A31 Valdastico, promoted an initiative on the occasion of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28, aimed at fostering a culture of prevention by engaging employees, institutions, and stakeholders in a moment of training, dialogue, and shared experience.
The day was structured into two distinct sessions. Starting at 8:30 a.m. in the Agorà Space, a hub for daily interaction and exchange among Group employees, participants were guided through a path of awareness and active engagement on workplace health and safety. This included informative content and moments of reflection designed to strengthen individual awareness and reinforce everyone’s role in risk prevention.
The event then continued in the Auditorium with an Open Day, also open to institutions, suppliers, and representatives of the local community. Following the opening remarks, the morning programme featured a talk by Francesco Sgaramella, safety expert and TEDx speaker, focusing on the evolution of safety communication in the workplace. This was followed by a session dedicated to sustainability and dialogue with partners, during which several suppliers shared practical experiences and best practices.
Representatives of local public authorities and institutions—including the Municipality and Province of Verona, trade unions, and industry associations—were invited to attend, demonstrating the company’s commitment to promoting safety as a shared and structural responsibility, rather than merely a regulatory requirement.
“Safety takes shape in our everyday activities, in behaviours, operational choices, and in the attention each of us brings to our work. It is a fundamental value and a daily commitment that involves the entire organization. Promoting moments of dialogue and participation such as this helps to strengthen a widespread culture of prevention, where every individual is an active and aware participant. Only through a shared and continuous approach is it possible to build increasingly safe and sustainable workplaces. With this initiative, A4 Holding reaffirms its commitment to developing a safety culture that is more integrated into business processes and oriented towards continuous improvement, for the benefit of people and the communities in which it operates,”
said Bruno Chiari, CEO of A4 Holding and Autostrada Brescia Verona Vicenza Padova.
