In the last 70 years we have come a long way, integrating competences and desining capacities to the realization and maintenance of great infrastructures.
Traffic data are expressed in actual vehicles. On 01.02.1990 a new classification of vehicles was introduced, changing from the "Cavalli Fiscali" (classification based on the engine size of the vehicle) to the "Assi Sagoma" (classification based on the shape of the vehicle). Therefore, the pre-1990 and post-1990 traffic data are not directly comparable.
